HIPAA and Healthcare Client Information

KeenEye IT may provide technology support, cybersecurity, consulting, infrastructure, and managed IT services to healthcare organizations and other clients that may be subject to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 ("HIPAA").

When we perform services for a healthcare client and may create, receive, maintain, transmit, or otherwise access protected health information ("PHI") on behalf of that client, we will handle such information in accordance with applicable HIPAA requirements and the terms of any Business Associate Agreement ("BAA") in place with that client.

KeenEye IT does not use PHI for purposes unrelated to providing contracted services, supporting client systems, securing client environments, meeting legal obligations, or fulfilling obligations under an applicable BAA.

Our HIPAA-related safeguards may include, as appropriate:

Healthcare clients remain responsible for their own HIPAA compliance programs, privacy notices, risk analyses, workforce training, policies, and determination of whether KeenEye IT is acting as a Business Associate for a specific service engagement.

This Privacy Statement is not intended to replace a HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, a Business Associate Agreement, or any healthcare client’s own compliance obligations.

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for business operations, service delivery, legal compliance, contractual obligations, security purposes, and dispute resolution.
